Heras wins Gasunie tender: permanent partner for site security of Gasunie’s critical infrastructure

Heras will once again be Gasunie’s permanent partner for site security for the next eight years. As part of this partnership, Heras will supply and maintain the security solutions for Gasunie’s 35 main sites in the Netherlands. This includes new construction, expansion and renovation. The two organisations are continuing their long-standing partnership.

High-quality site security is essential

Gasunie manages and maintains the infrastructure for large-scale transport and storage of gas in The Netherlands and Northern Germany. On the way to a climate-neutral Netherlands, Gasunie is increasingly focusing on green gas, hydrogen, heat networks and CO2 capture and storage. These current and future activities of Gasunie are of vital importance to the Netherlands. High quality site safety for existing and new construction sites is therefore very important.

By winning Gasunie’s European tender, Heras and Gasunie have entered into a multi-year agreement. The expected turnover of the framework agreement is €25 million.

Strengthening the positive and constructive cooperation

With this renewed partnership, both parties are continuing their long-standing cooperation. “We have been supplying, installing and maintaining all fencing, gates and security systems for Gasunie for a number of years,” says Angelique van Hassel, Country Manager Benelux of Heras. “We ensure that the security systems at Gasunie’s sites function properly in all circumstances and that the maintenance and management of the systems cause as little disruption as possible to the processes at the sites. This contract makes us Gasunie’s permanent partner for the next eight years for the supply, expansion and maintenance of security systems at Gasunie’s 35 main sites in the Netherlands. We are very proud of this and look forward to further strengthening the positive and constructive cooperation with Gasunie.

Sustainability in the supply chain

Gasunie and Heras also find common ground in the area of sustainability. Gasunie is actively committed to a better climate and demands the same from its suppliers. Important topics such as the reduction of C02 and NOx emissions, social return and energy efficiency are central to the cooperation. Heras meets these requirements through, among other things, ISO14001 certification and the CO2 performance ladder level 3.
